After more than ten years living abroad, and as many working in university research in environmental history, Jean-François joined the A Rocha team in June 2014.

He ran the Courmettes center for 6 years, and now works on the association’s national development.

Why A Rocha?

When I was working at university in environmental history, I was frustrated that I couldn’t easily share my faith and hope that there’s more to the world than meets the eye. And I’d long had a desire to make an even more concrete commitment to the Lord. A meeting with Peter Harris in Washington in 2012 set in motion a process that led me in an extraordinary way to Les Courmettes…

What aspect of your commitment do you enjoy most?

I love the diversity of my work, the contact with people, and sharing my enthusiasm and love for God and His creation.

Is there a Bible verse that particularly appeals to you?

“For God so loved the cosmos that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” John 3.16.
