January 22 • Urban Biodiversity Webinar
I live in the city, so does biodiversity concern me? Designed by and for humans, cities contain a lot of artificial soil and mineralized spaces. There are many pressures on the biodiversity of urban ecosystems: fragmentation of natural environments, pollution, competition from invasive alien species, etc.
One might therefore think that biodiversity has no place there. However, many cities want to evolve to minimize the pressures on biodiversity. City dwellers are demanding a better living environment, in more sustainable and resilient cities.
How does urban biodiversity affect us? How does it relate to our Christian faith? How can we act as citizens and Christians?
Through concrete examples, we will discuss these questions and suggest courses of action.
Webinar open to all, free of charge, registration required.
