A green day at a church in Castres

19 July 2022

The Evangelical Free Church in Castres invited A Rocha to preach and lead a workshop on climate change and the Christian’s role in creation.

In his talk, Richard, A Rocha Ambassador and manager of the café Chez Théo in Montpellier, showed how the Gospel is good news in a context of growing eco-anxiety. After recalling the link between sin and the suffering of creation, he presented the hope brought by Jesus.

In the afternoon, Margaret led a workshop to create a climate mural. This was an excellent opportunity for participants to learn more about the climate and how it is influenced by human activities.

At the end of the day, participants left encouraged with practical action points to implement in church and in their daily lives.
