Dear friends,
This is the traditional season of greetings, and I naturally wanted to begin by wishing you – on behalf of the entire team and Board of Directors of A Rocha France – a New Year in the peace and joy of the Lord. I do so with the conviction that – in the midst of all the problems, especially environmental ones, that are deeply affecting our world in crisis, “these three things remain: faith, hope and love” (1 Corinthians 13.13).
We are deeply grateful to the many people who responded to our year-end appeal for donations. Thank you for your trust and support! Since January, those who wish to do so can support us without paying a cent by using the Lilo search engine.
We have many plans for 2025. On our fully modernised and updated website, in the agenda section, you will already find a list of events that we are organising and/or where we will be present.
I’d like to draw your attention to the major event of the new year: the celebration of A Rocha’s 25th anniversary, which will take place over the weekend of 24-25 May in the Vallée des Baux (13), near Arles (book your weekend and find all the information here). We also invite you to reserve your dates for the 2025 stays at Les Courmettes, for which you will also find the first details in the agenda section. You will also be able to discover a number of new features, including a gospel workshop in April (registration open). 2025 will also see the launch (at the end of January) of the training programme designed for our ambassadors, on which Yoanna has been hard at work for almost a year.
Finally, the start of the year is also a good time to renew your membership of A Rocha, if you haven’t already done so, by visiting this page.
I hope to meet many of you in person or see you again this year for A Rocha’s 25th anniversary or for other events in France or at Les Courmettes.
