Local groups
Acting collectively is the best way to encourage each other and make progress to better preserve living things.
Let's work together in local groups.
Praying, reflecting and acting together
Local groups work to raise awareness, provide training and protect the natural environment. Prayer is the foundation of their activities.
Make a visible impact locally
Local groups enable Christians from the same locality and from different churches to come together around a common objective: the preservation of living things in order to give glory to God.
Linking up with the AmbassadorsNetwork
Local groups are set up and run by A Rocha Ambassadors. They are open to anyone who is interested, even if they are not involved in the Network.
Where can I find a local group?
What do they actually do?
The actions carried out by the different groups can be very varied. They depend on the context of the group and their skills and aptitudes. Here are a few examples:
- Organising talks together in the town's churches
- Meeting, sharing and praying on specific topics
- Organising a clean-walk
- Contemplating and learning about living things
- Taking part in a climate march
- Deepen your knowledge of eco-theology
Create a local group
New groups are springing up all over France. If there isn’t one in your area yet, consider creating one!
