The year 2020 is behind us… but its consequences are not over. 2020 was a very disrupted year in terms of activities and events, especially for our Courmettes centre, where we lost almost half of the weddings that usually provide a large part of our income, and where most of our welcome weeks also had to be cancelled. The result at the end of the year was an estimated financial loss of around €50,000.

Fortunately, an excellent year in 2019, which saw a succession of events and activities, and during which, thanks to the work of the whole team, we were able to offer an exceptional number of stays, had enabled us to build up some reserves. This small reserve, combined with rigorous management efforts, as well as some state aid, enabled us to limit our losses a little.

And this year, 2020, saw a steady increase in the number of our regular donors, as well as in the number of our one-off donors. The donations collected during our campaign at the end of the year more than doubled compared to the previous year!

A huge thank you to all of you for this generosity, and for your many messages of encouragement, which allow us to continue to carry out our projects, and to look forward to 2021 with confidence!
